The Inspiration

Creativity. Is it within us? Or is it from without? Wherever it is, I'm going to find it. I've gathered some things, and I'm doing this experiment to gather more. At the beginning this is where I stand and hope to stand at the end, day 365.

God is the creator, so He has to be the source of all creativity. Right? And the Bible says that if we seek Him, we will find Him. And the Angels. They circle His throne. As they circle, they cry out "Holy, Holy, Holy" Why? Because they constantly see a new facet of God. This is what they were created to do, for ETERNITY! That's a long time, and that's a lot of new facets to see in one... thing? In God!

Creativity is more abundant than air, we just have to ask for it. That's all. Just ask. Ask and you shall receive (Luke 11:9). And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. (Matthew 21:22) God is a generous god, and He's dying to give to us. So for the next 365 days, I'm going to ask God, everyday, for creativity. And I'm going to believe. Then, I'm going to receive. And when I receive it, I'm going to create and post about it.

Writing isn't going to be my vessel, that's just to document. I feel called to cinematography, so I'm going to use the excuse of developing my creative eye as a reason to ask for this creativity. Jacob and I just bought a new beautiful camera, so I get to take pictures. Which lets me work on my eye, content, and heart, all in one. And here is where I'll document my growth from the beginning. Tomorrow will be my post from today's discoveries, day one.

Now the title is going to change probably everyday or week, or maybe never. When I started this post it was The Creative Eye Project. I'm thinking, now, about changing it to The Creative Eye Experiment, or The Creative Eye Request. So stick around to see where it goes. And eventually I plan to compile my discoveries into a book.
